suitep: Great article in Newsweek about a director I’ve loved ever since she made Near Dark…Kathryn Bigelow. Critics can’t seem to get over the idea that a female director could devote herself to making adrenaline-charged films that owe more to Ridley Scott than Nora Ephron. two words… Point Break… I rest my case… or… ummm… I rest your case for you… if it were necessary… which we know it wasn’t.
